Bisley’s community composting scheme, which has been led by the community for the benefit of the community, aims to transform unwanted garden waste from the village into free compost. This product will then feed the gardens of Bisley, increase local soil fertility, help wildlife, and help produce fine crops. The scheme was the idea of a Parish Councillor as a result of meeting with allotment holders, and supported in principle by the whole Parish Council. The Parish Council made an application for financial support to Stroud District Council.
